After the repairs in Show Low, we headed down the hill toward Scottsdale. It was slow getting comfortable with the new rear-end and the ratio was better on the top end. We actually got up to 22 mph in 1st gear on the steepest grades. Pleanty of pull, so I think everything is going to be okay. I was in such a rush to get going that I didn't get everything nailed down, but no matter.... by the time I got to Scottsdale, it was all on the floor anyway! We stopped at the WalMart off of Hayden Rd. and met up with Sonny Van Haselen, Buck Gardner and Ken Roach for the auction.

 

It all started in the parking lot with a quick phone call to Don Luciano for the passes into the Russo-Steele car auction. Coffee finally decided to just buy 'em at the gate, and Sonny was good enough to buy ours, so in we went. Lots of great cars, but only about half sold for above the reserve and lots were still for sale.
